Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
