The commander-in-chief stated heâs proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both soldiers of the state Guard.
âI told them: âWhen youâre able, because thatâs a tough thing, visit the White House. Weâre going to honor Sarah,â Trump informed journalists. âAnd similarly with Andrew, recover or not.â

Mourners gathered over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.
Both she and Wolfe had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trumpâs federal initiative to assist policing efforts in DC.

âShe was the type of pupil that teachers hoped for. She behaved with quiet strength, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,â Jarrod Hankins, the principal of Beckstromâs former high school, told the press. âShe was kind, considerate and always ready to assist people.â

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of homicide and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

Wolfe, a native of Martinsburg, began his service in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.
